My name is Lindsey A. Whitlock. Welcome to Life of a Loony.

My wonderful husband and I currently live in on the Near-East Side of Madison, Wisconsin with our mischievous orange cat, Eliot. I am a barrista and a self-employed scribbler (alternative title: unpublished writer). Eliot doesn’t know how to write, but he is a poet, an inspiration, and a professional toe-biter.

I like big trees. I like pumkin pie. I like green things, though I think yellow is the best colour for umbrellas. Good conversation is one of my favourite things. I like it even better than a good walk. Give me both simultaniously, and I’m very happy.

Other things I enjoy: the seasons, cooking, poems that get stuck in my head, cinnamon graham crackers, long flights/car/trainrides, quality spices, a good book, figs, twinkle lights in cities, long mornings, and a cup of tea.
