

-big french toast breakfast (which I might just repeat this morning)
-the three hour walk along the lake’s southern shore.
-listening to three fishermen talk as I walked by.
-incessant text messages from my mom filled with birthday wishes.
-spending the evening with Tiffany: fabric shopping, talking in the car, eating dolmades at Alchemy, laughing and enjoying the good company.
-coming home to a great dinner prepared by Adam.
I don’t think I’ve ever (in my adult life) been so excited to see a movie.

It might be a little dorky, but I’ve always been a sucker for baby carriages.

a list of this week’s favorites:
- favorite thing adorning the apartment: all the fresh tulips and the tiny daffodils
-favorite smell in the kitchen: the ragu i made the other night stewing away for hours on the stove.
My sister asked where the belly shots were.
It sure makes for long, lovely afternoons.

Maybe I like afternoons after all.
I am sitting drinking my daily cup of raspberry leaf tea watching the curtains twirl and bikers pass by on the street and people with their arms resting out their car windows.
There were a lot of things I could have done this afternoon.

In belated celebration of his birthday, I baked his birthday cake and took him out to dinner.
The night I learned I was pregnant was like most others.
