Today was a full day.
from where I sit
There are boxes everywhere and a very, very good cup of coffee beside me that is getting cold. Adam put my desk in the perfect place by the windows while I was sleeping because he knew it would make me happy. There are dishes in the sink and I don’t have anything to wash them with, nor a good place for them to dry. But, hey, it’s our first day here and only here and not moving and nowhere else. So I think that is just fine. More than fine.
Yesterday our lease in Madison was finally up, and I had my last day of work at the coffee shop.
the negative side effect
The negative side effect of getting a house is that I want to be there all the time.
this must be the place
And then, all of a sudden, it happened. We sat down at a big conference table with leather chairs and a stack of paperwork. We signed our names hundreds of times, and the owner handed us her many keys. Then we drove home.
Yup. Home.
