two secrets

1. I know they are small and funny, but I like the way my hands look.
2. Without being aware that I am doing it, I still barrel up the stairs on all fours, sometimes. Like a little kid. Old habits die hard.

snow day

We woke up to lots and lots of snow.

My only regrets?  Babies don’t play in snow.
But there’s always next year.  And snowy days inside?   Those are great, too.

winter days

Snow is on the ground, and we have been carrying around our babe all bundled up for walks in his kjørepose.  I love the snow and more is on its way.  I love hot tea and mulled wine.  And warm babies bundled in wool.

but today

But the lentils taste better today.
And the baby is napping just fine.
And it seems like light is coming through every window of our house.
