number 16: aioli

Adam has been asking me to make aioli for a long time now.  It took me a long time to get around to it, partly because I thought it would be difficult, partly because I didn’t think I would eat much of it.  I didn’t try aioli until just a couple years ago.  I had [...]

number 23, busy days

It’s a cold, rainy May day in Southern Wisconsin.  We spent most of the day inside, venturing only a few blocks to get ingredients for a spontaneous pot of soup.  I thought my days of hunkering down under wool blankets were done until autumn, but I am glad I didn’t pack away our scarves.
On the [...]
